We are delighted to announce that one of our colleagues from the ICM Team, Esther Garcés, was elected as member of the Women and Science Committee at the CSIC level (National Research Council) .
Esther Garcés is an excellent scientist and senior researcher at the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM), the fourth largest research institute of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the largest dedicated to marine research Institute of Marine Sciences (CSIC).
Within her commitment as Responsible for the Equality Gender Commission of ICM, she will contribute to the CSIC Women and Science Committee objectives that consists basically in studying the possible causes hindering women’s access and pursuit to a scientific career and in suggesting corrective actions.
