The event is organized as a part of the European Horizon 2020 projects „LeTSGEPs” (Leading Towards Sustainable Gender Equality Plans in Research Institutions) and „MINDtheGEPs” (Modifying Institutions by Developing Gender Equality Plans) in which Mathematical Institute of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MI SANU) and University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, are one of the partners.
Workshop lectures will be held by internationally recognised experts for gender equality issues in educational and research institutions: dr Giovanna Badalassi, from The Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Italy), and Corinna Pusch and dr Dr. Ulla Weber from The Max Planck Society (Germany).
We will discuss gender equality in science and innovation, with special focus on creating gender equality plans, forming strategies and negotiation approaches for gender equality measures, including gender sensitive budgeting in science institutions.
These topics, relevant by themselves, are additionally important since having an institutional gender equality plan is a prerequisite for securing funds for science projects through Horizon Europe programme (2021-2027).
