The University of Messina is among the Italian Universities that have received, for the year 2021, an allocation of resources from the Financing Fund provided by Article 1, paragraph 354 of Law 160/2019.
This is the award reserved by the 2020 Budget Law for those universities that have adopted the Gender Budget and have promoted gender education by including gender studies courses in their curricula or improving existing ones. The result has been achieved also thanks to UniMe participation and committment to LeTSGEPs objectives.
Ranked seventh out of 31 Italian universities, UniMe is the only Sicilian University to have received this award and, together with the University of Bari, is one of the southern Italian universities in the top ten.
The award will be re-invested to further promote gender sensitivity at UniMe. This an excellent example of sustainability of the LeTSGEPs project.
